Visually Handicapped or Homebound - inquire at the desk for large print books, talking book service and shut-in delivery service.

Memorial Books - Donations are accepted for the purchase of materials in memory of, or in honor of an individual or organization. A bookplate is placed in the book and acknowledgement is sent to the donor, the person honored or family of the deceased. Inquiries should be made to the Library Director.

Local History - Local cemetery records and plots, marriage and death records, The Somonauk Reveille on microfilm, and much more. A microfilm reader-printer is available for making copies.

Photocopy Service - Black and White: $0.10 per page, Color: $0.50 per page.

Fax Service - $1.50 to send the first page, $1.00 each additional page.

Microfilm Reader-Printer - $0.10 per page.

Computers/Internet - Computers are available for public use for the internet and for word processing. Infotrac, a magazine database as well as several other reference products are available for public and student use. Please inquire at the front desk for more information.

Inter-Library Loan - Materials not in the library's collection can be requested for you through interlibrary loan from the Reaching Across Illinois Library System. You must have a valid library card. Please inquire at the desk.

Suggestions - The library welcomes suggestions of books for possible purchase. Please make inquiries to the Library Director.

SPECIAL SERVICES

Children's story hours are scheduled throughout the year. We offer a Summer Reading Program every summer.

Adult Book Discussion Groups are held once a month, usually the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The Monday Mystery Book Club meets 6:30 pm on the third Monday of each month.

Please observe the rules of the library. You are responsible for materials checked out on your card. We request reasonable quiet at all times so readers will be able to concentrate without disturbances. Bare feet, swimsuits, food and uncoverd drinks are not permitted.
